About the event

This training utilizes sandtray therapy as a play therapy modality to support the identification, understanding, and integration of parts of self.

This advanced training is designed to deepen clinicians’ understanding and clinical application of sandtray therapy within play therapy practice, with a focus on working with parts of self. Building on foundational sandtray skills, this course explores how symbolic and projective processes within the sandtray support clients in accessing, differentiating, and integrating various aspects of the self within play therapy sessions.


Participants will learn how to utilize sandtray as a developmentally responsive and trauma-informed play therapy modality to facilitate insight, emotional expression, and internal system awareness. Emphasis is placed on integrating parts-of-self work within play therapy practice, particularly in the context of attachment, trauma, and identity development.
